Weekly Religious Programs at the Islamic Humanitarian Serviice
Salaamun Alaikum, Programs for this week to be held at the IHS Centre at 81 Hollinger Crescent are as follows:
1) On Thursday, July 2nd, we will be commemorating the wiladat of the 7th Imam Musa al-Kadhim (please note that the exact date of the birthdate of this Imam is actually the 7th of Safar, but due to it being the days of mourning, most communities mark this Imam's birth on the 7th day of the 7th month - therefore the 7th of Rajab) and the wiladat of the 9th Imam Muhammad at-Taqi. Program will begin at 7:30pm with the recitation of Hadeeth-e-Kisa, Surah Yaseen, Dua Kumayl, followed by lecture, Ziyarat-e-Waritha and Salaatul Jama'at.
2) On Friday, July 3rd, there will be Salatul Jumuah at 1:30pm led by Shaykh Saleem Bhimji.
The first ever I.H.S. Fundraiser program featuring stand-up comedian and founder of the ALLAH MADE ME FUNNY tour, Preacher Moss, was a tremendous success. With over 150 people present from Waterloo, Region, the Greater Toronto Area, London (Ontario) and the United Kingdom, the event was well-attended by many segments of the community including non-Muslims.
Video clips of the program will be available soon on the Al-Haqq Website as well as photos of the event.
Stay tuned for more information on our fundraiser with more information on how you can contribute to an exciting phase in the history of the Islamic Humanitarian Service including the unveiling of plans for our new centre!

Introduction to Islam
Dennis Wholley meets Imam Hassan Qazwini, leader of the Islamic Centre in Dearborn, Michigan, to discuss the fundamental beliefs of Islam, and remove any misconceptions the general public may have. Many Non-muslims have the idea that the Islamic clerics and leaders are hostile and unapproachable, however Dennis Wholley shows that the Islamic leaders (Imams) are normal people like you and I, striving for a better future for upcoming generations.
The Islamic Humanitarian Service drop-in centre is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
